Builds Google Logo out of Legos

For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, Google commemorates the 50th Birthday of Lego by shocasing Google logo built out of Lego blocks. I love seeing these custom logos for various anniversaries and holidays a like. To me, today’s logo is hits me home as I grew up playing with Legos. Check out all of the past Google Holiday Logos.

SEOmoz | Search Engine Ranking Factors Version 2 Released

SEOmoz Search Engines Ranking FactorBack in 2005, with help from various SEO experts, SEOmoz voted on the importance of over 100 unique factors of the search engines’ ranking algorithms. As is necessary in this industry, this data needs to be constantly revisited. Today SEOmoz unveiled version two, which includes updated data applicable to current standards.

Although I have not had the chance to fully read or digest its overwhelming content, at first glance it appears to be a comprehensive overview of SEO factors and best practices from some of todays most influential SEO professionals. This type of team effort is exactly what the community needs more of. Big ups to SEOmoz!

Google Pay-Per-Action in Beta

Is there a specific action on your site that you want visitors to complete? You want to generate a lead, a sale, a download or a page view. Do you know how much that action is worth to your business? Think quick, this maybe the newest ticket to increase your business online.

Pay-Per-Action is a new pricing model where advertisers will only pay Google when a customer converts in a specified way. More background here and here.

Advertisers and publishers will be forced to create efficient conversion oriented content and sales funnels. Google’s PPA will most definitely impact the advertiser/Google relationship. This maybe a major threat to the affiliate marketing networks? What’s your opinion?
