should i get new forks or bars?? bmx?
i have a haro f2 with a tripple wall alex back rim, poverty 44t sprocket, new seat and post, animal hamilton pedals, eastern choker stem, stock front rim, tire, and bars… i was wondering what i should do to make this 32lb bike lighter while keeping the back rim.
i can’t get a new rim yet although i was looking at the eastern niner and about the bars.. i was looking at the eastern ultra light bars
For starters get a double wall rim. Triple walls are strong but the weight is too much you cant make the bike as light as you want with a triple wall. When you get the double wall rim make sure it has a 9t cassette that way you can get a 25t sprocket to go with it. Get some Animal Piff bars i have them and they’re really light. Either do that or get a new bike. The Haro f2 frame weighs 5 to 5 1/2 pounds and thats heavy nowadays.
